What is the Negawatt Power Pool®?

The Negawatt Power Pool® is a grouping of regional energy reduction resources enabled by RTP Controls’ GridLogic System™ that have access to the available Emergency Demand Response, Economic Demand Response, Operating Reserves, and Index Price Control opportunities. The Negawatt Power Pool® aggregates regional energy reduction capabilities to help facilities participate in incentive programs that meet their needs and to provide energy markets and utilities with a large, dynamic resource that can contribute to grid stability and price responsiveness.

What Does RTP Provide for Me?

Typically, RTP will install the GridLogic System™ in your building to facilitate participation in the Negawatt Power Pool®. You will also be given access to the RTP Controls web portal that enables you to customize program participation, view detailed reporting, and keep up-to-date with real-time power monitoring. RTP’s GridLogic System™ removes the limitations associated with managing demand response and energy savings through an operations center, truly maximizing your energy initiatives and maintaining facility comfort.
